Boots x Jamais Vulgaire
Shoe made to order: delivery scheduled for January 2025
The origins of the Balmoral boot date back to the mid-nineteenth century. According to the story, Prince Albert, Queen Victoria's husband, ordered a new pair of boots from the royal shoemaker. These boots had to be comfortable for long walks in the Scottish grounds of Balmoral Castle, but also elegant enough to be worn indoors at social events with high society men. We've created a modern version of this shoe, suitable for city and semi-formal wear. The upper is in dark grey suede leather, while the base is in black leather. For this model, we've also chosen a 3.8-centimetre high ‘Cuban’ heel, slightly sloping towards the inside of the shoe, inspired by men's shoes from the 50s to the 70s.
These shoes were created in collaboration with the famous French fashion blog Jamais Vulgaire, a website that analyses classic French men's style and its rules. Production takes place in Portuguese shoe workshops, experts in the manufacture of classic, timeless shoes.
