The strap loafer, better known as the penny loafer, was born in the United States in the 1930s. Inspired by Norwegian slip-on shoes, it owes its nickname to American students who would slip a coin into the decorative slot in the strap. In the 1950s and 1960s, it became a symbol of Ivy League style, worn on university campuses and in professional circles alike.

Here we offer a sleek and versatile version in smooth black leather. The shoe is Goodyear welted, ensuring strength, durability and the possibility of resoling. For this model, we have also chosen a 3.8 cm Cuban heel, slightly slanted inwards, directly inspired by men's shoes from the 1950s to the 1970s.
