Corduroy for clothing dates back to 18th-century England, where it was mainly used for workwear due to its strength and ability to retain heat. Initially associated with peasants, hunters and laborers, the fabric was widely used for uniforms and manual workwear. In the 19th century, it became particularly popular with hunters and gamekeepers. In the 20th century, it also spread as a casualwear fabric, particularly in the 1960s and 1970s, adopted by youth movements and artists. We've chosen a medium-rib version for these pants, designed with a straight leg and semi-high waist. To accentuate their sporty character, we've added a front flap pocket (to hold your gold coins for daily exchanges) and two back flap pockets.
