Tennis stripe trousers are part of the British menswear tradition and became popular in international financial circles in the 20th century. The cut of this model combines two historical references: the generous volume of the 1940s and the sharp lines of the trousers worn on Wall Street in the 1980s.

They are made from heavy 380g grey wool flannel with fine vertical stripes. The pleats are turned inwards, a design choice that directs the fullness of the fabric towards the fly and gives a cleaner line at the front of the leg. The waist is smooth, without belt loops, and the bottom is finished with a 6cm turn-up.

  • We fully line our winter trousers at the front and back for three reasons: the first is the fluid, heavy drape of the trousers; the second is that we want to prevent the icy Highland winds from brushing against your legs; and the third is that this allows the trousers to slide over our high socks when we move from a sitting to a standing position, without the wool catching uncomfortably on the sock.
