Origin of the fabric and pattern
Made from 340 g combed wool flannel with a tone-on-tone herringbone weave. The V pattern (herringbone), long used in European weaving, has become a classic in British winter fabrics. Navy blue became established in the 20th century as the standard colour for professional attire, particularly for double-breasted suits.
Silhouette inspiration
Silhouette inspired by 1930s double-breasted jackets, characterised by heavily structured shoulders and a pronounced vertical line. For this model, we have added 2 cm of extra padding to the shoulder to make it more parallel to the ground, in keeping with the tailoring tradition of London's Savile Row.
