Origin of the fabric and pattern
This jacket is made from combed wool flannel, with a sharp drape and soft texture, suitable for business suits. The tennis stripe pattern – fine, regular vertical lines – is historically associated with British and then international financial attire, becoming one of the symbols of power suits in the 20th century.
Inspiration for the silhouette
The line is inspired by the suits worn in European and American business circles between the 1940s and 1980s, when the double-breasted striped jacket embodied authority and rigour.
