Shetland’ tweed country jacket

Shetland tweed has ancient origins, dating back centuries to when it was used for clothing by Scottish fishermen and farmers. Made mainly from Shetland sheep's wool, it has a rough surface with a ‘buttoned’ effect, achieved by weaving the threads to create small protuberances similar to buttons.
We've designed this jacket in our Roman-style pattern:
a light shoulder structures the sleeve of this model; to give a more square shape to the shoulders, the seam between the body of the jacket and the sleeve is opened on the rollino, which is shaped to give a naturally square continuity to the sleeve.
The silhouette of the jacket is ‘hourglass’ in shape, increasing slightly in volume at the shoulders to become slimmer at the waist and wider at the hips. This silhouette is inspired by jackets from the 40s and 80s of the 20th century.
Finally, we opted for a 2-button jacket, which is sportier than the 3-button one.

we've chosen 2 patch pockets to emphasise the sporty use of this jacket, while retaining the classic ‘barchetta’ pocket.
A martingale at the waist emphasises the slim, elegant silhouette, even in the countryside; and two side gussets at the scapulae will ease your movements while keeping the back clean and fitted.
Finally, the lapel notch has been lowered compared to contemporary jackets, in homage to the fashion of the late 70s.
